Artwork Specifications & Applications

Speedisc can accept artwork submissions in the following file formats:

Inserts and tray cards:

1. Adobe Photoshop (must rasterize fonts)
2. Adobe Illustrator (must outline fonts)
3. Adobe Indesign (supply all attached images and fonts)
4. TIFF, JPG, PNG, BMP, PICT and other image formats (300dpi or higher)
5. QuarkXpress is only supported for jobs of 1000 pieces or more.

All bitmat based artwork must be at a minimum of 300dpi or higher and color files must be CMYK color process.
Build all panels 1/8" larger on all sides for bleed and paper cut.

CD Face Print:

1. Adobe Photoshop (Outline fonts. Use OUR templates from the templates section)
2. Adobe Illustrator (must outline fonts)

The following file formats are not acceptable for any kind of print output:

1. Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Office
2. 72dpi images (these will not print clearly)
3. RGB files for color printing (we can covert to CMYK for a small fee)

FILE TYPES ACCEPTED

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP MAC OR PC, CMYK format. please "rasterize" your text layers in photoshop
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR or Freehand MAC (convert text to outlines or include fonts, include images)
QuarkXPress MAC (for orders of 1000pcs or more) Please include fonts and images.
300dpi image files (TIFF, EPS, JPG, PICT), CMYK

A charge of $60/hour will be billed for projects submitted that do not meet our specifications.

FILE TYPES NOT ACCEPTED

Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Office
Anything Corel
Stomper, Neato, Maxell, Labelmaker, Word Perfect
72dpi images (such as those you download from the web or digital cameras)
A hint: if you can fit it on a floppy disc you did it wrong!
RGB formatted files

2 PANEL INSERTS (2PP) Dimensions

Page 1 & 2: 4.75"x4.75" at 300dpi or higher
Tray card (back of CD case) 5 29/32" by 4 5/8 with 1/4" spine on each side
Please leave 1/8" bleed outside of all edges.
Keep crucial text and images at least 1/8" inside outer edges.

4 PANEL INSERTS (4PP) Dimensions

(2 panels per side) 9.5"x4.75" at 300dpi or higher
Tray card (back of CD case) 5 29/32" by 4 5/8 with 1/4" spine on each side
Please leave 1/8" bleed outside of all edges.
Keep crucial text and images at least 1/8" inside outer edges.
